CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance of the PuriClean increases functional reliability and guarantees hygienic
operation; it also prevents malfunctions and performance losses.
Filters, become dirty over time and reduce the air performance and lead to performance losses.
It is therefore important that the filters are changed or cleaned regularly.
The UV lamp should be cleaned regularly as this is where dirt can be deposited.
Always disconnect the plug from the power outlet before starting to clean the unit.
General cleaning
Always unplug the plug from the power outlet before starting to clean the device.
If necessary, the outer body of the unit can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
Abrasive materials should not be used as this will damage the coating of the housing. Care must be
taken to ensure that no moisture penetrates into the inner surface of the device. Always unplug
the power cord before cleaning or replacing the filter.
Filter change
Prefilter:
If the pre-filter change indicator on the unit
lights up, the pre-filter should be cleaned or replaced.
After opening the unit and removing the unit cover,
remove the filter by pulling it out in your direction. If dust
or foreign matter has accumulated on the filter, you can
wash the filter by hand in lukewarm water. Do not install
the filter until you are sure that it is completely dry.
Hepa-Filter: When the HEPA filter change indicator on
the unit lights up, the filter should be changed.
filter must always be completely replaced for hygienic
reasons and must not be reused or cleaned.
Carefully loosen the clips holding the filter and remove
the HEPA filter.
Carefully remove the filter from the filter housing by
holding the front part and lifting it upwards. Carefully
clean and disinfect the filter frame and inner housing.
Insert the new filter into the housing and tighten the clips.
Then close the unit cover.
As HEPA filters retain viruses and bacteria, used filters
may contain harmful particles. After the filter is removed,
it should be placed firmly in an airtight and dustproof
bag. Filters must not be disposed of with household
waste. When you have replaced the new HEPA filter, make
sure that the filter is tight again. Only then is proper
functioning guaranteed. A professional disposal of the
filters must be guaranteed!
