Charging The Battery
Charge the battery in a cool, dry place. Charging should be done with the fan off. The battery does not
have to be fully discharged before recharging. The battery will not develop a memory.
Approximate charge time is under 3 hrs. if battery is completely discharged. The battery can be stored
fully charged. Unlike other battery types, it will maintain charge almost indefinitely.
1. Plug the charger into an AC wall outlet. The LED on the front of the charger will illuminate green.
2. Plug the charger output into the charging receptacle on the fan.
3. The LED on the charger will switch to red indicating that the battery is charging.
4. Once the battery is fully charged the LED on the charger will turn green.
5. Unplug the charger from the fan and the wall socket. The safety circuits in the charger and the
battery will discontinue the charge once the battery is fully charged. It is not recommended to
rely solely on the safety circuits.
6. Unplug the charger when not in use.
NOTE: Lithium-Ion batteries, while in use, will continue to provide full power with very little power
fade unlike typical batteries. When the battery is fully discharged, the battery safety circuits will immediately
cut power to the fan motor. The battery circuits will not allow the fan to run until the battery has been
recharged.
NOTE: The fan may start running when the charger is plugged in. This can occur if the battery was cut
off by the discharge safety circuits and the power switch is left in a run position. Push the power button
until the fan stops and then continue charging the battery.
NOTE: For optimum performance, the battery should have one charge/discharge cycle every three
months.
NOTE: The PGF should only be charged on a non-flammable surface. Your PGF is provided with an
engineered charger and only this charger should be used. If you should lose the PGF charger additional
chargers are available for sale on our Web Site.
