GENERAL OPERATION
PAUSE

RECORD
PLAYBACK
1. Press the "TAPE" button to enter "TAPE" mode.
2. Press the "STOP / EJECT" button to open the cassette door and insert your tape.
3. Close the cassette door.
4. Press the "PLAY" button to start playing tape.
5. Adjust the "VOLUME" control to the desired level.
6. Press the "PAUSE" button when you want to stop playing tape operation temporarily.
7. Press the "STOP / EJECT" button when finished.
RECORDING (DECK
1. Press the "STOP / EJECT" button to open the cassette door and insert a blank tape.
2. Select the source you want to record.
To record from radio - Press the "TUNER / BAND" button to enter "RADIO" mode and select the
desired station.
To record from CD - Press the "CD" button to enter "CD" mode. Place a dissc in the CD compartment
and select the desired track.
3. Press the "RECORD" button together with the "PLAY" button to start recording.
4. Press the "STOP / EJECT" button when finish
Note : Tape cassettes with tabs removed will prevent the Record button from being pressed.
Protecting Recordings
Normally, anything recorded on the tape is automatically erased when a new recording is made. It is
possible to protect your recordings from accidental erasure by removing the tabs found on the rear
of the cassette. See page 8.
When the cassette is held with the recorded side upper-most and exposed tape facing the front, the
protective tab will be found on the left rear of the cassette.
All pre-recorded cassette are protected in this way to prevent accidental erasure of the commercial
recording "Protected" cassettes will prevent the record button from being operated. If at any time you
attempt to record and find that this button will not depress, never force the mechanism or it may be
damaged. Check that a cassette has been loaded and that a tab has not been removed. Recording
on a cassette from which the tabs have been removed can be done by covering the tab openings
with a piece of adhesive tape.

TAPE OPERATION

Press to stop playing tape temporarily.
Press again to resume tape playing.
Press to stop tape playing.
Press again to open the cassette door after the tape spools stop turning.
&
Press to start rapid tape winding either forward or reverse direction.
Press to start playing tape.
Press it together with "PLAY" button to start recording.
