TROUBLESHOOTING

SYMPTOM
If screen is not responding properly and
SCB100 or SCB200 controls are used,
contact the factory for troubleshooting
assistance.
1. S creen will not operate or will not go
"down".
Motor does not hum.
Motor hums.
2. Screen will not move upward.
Motor does not hum.
Motor hums.
CAUSE
(a) I ncorrect line voltage.
(b) B lown facility fuse.
(c) T ripped facility circuit breaker.
(d) N o power to operating switch or
junction box.
Power at junction box.
(e) Thermal overload tripped.
(f) Broken wire in the "down" position.
(g) D efective motor, limit switch or
capacitor.
(h) C apacitor burned out.
(a) I ncorrect line voltage.
(b) B lown facility fuse.
(c) Tripped facility circuit breaker.
(d) No power to operating switch or
junction box.
(e) Open door limit switch.
Power at junction box
(f) T hermal overload tripped.
(g) Broken wire in the "up" position.
(h) Defective motor, limit switch or
capacitor.
(i) Capacitor burned out.

SOLUTION
(a) v erify 115-125v (or 220-240v). If
insufficient voltage, rewire incoming
electric line.
(b) R eplace facility fuse.
(c) R eset facility circuit breaker.
(d) C heck above. Tighten all loose wire
connections. Recheck wiring. See
installation instructions.
"Down" Position
C heck for power across black and white
leads.
(e) L et motor cool down for 15 minutes.
Try again.
(f) C heck for continuity.
(g) R eplace motor assembly.
N OTE: Motor is a sealed assembly.
(h) Replace motor assembly.
(a) v erify 115-125v (or 220-240v). If
insufficient voltage, rewire incoming

(b) R eplace facility fuse.
(c) R eset facility circuit breaker.
(d) C heck above. Tighten all loose wire
connections. See above.

C heck for power across red and
white leads.
(e) Replace switch.
(f) L et motor cool down for 15 minutes.
Try again.
(g) C heck for continuity.
(h) R eplace motor assembly.
N OTE: Motor is a sealed assembly.
(i) Replace motor assembly.
