7. TROUBLESHOOTING.
Fault
The pump does not start.
The pump does not stop.
The pump stops during operation.
The
pump
starts
frequently.
The
pump
transmits
discharges.
The pump starts when there is no
request for water.
If the pump does not start when the faults have been repaired, contact the pump supplier.
Check (possible causes)
− Insufficient water.
− Overheating due to the high
temperature of the fluid (above
+40°C).
− Overheating due to blocking of
the pump.
− Voltage too low or too high.
− No electric power supply.
− No water consumption.
− The pump is in alarm status.
− The existing pipe has a leak or is
faulty.
− The check valve is blocked or
missing.
− Dry running.
− Overheating due to the high
temperature of the fluid (above
+40°C).
− Overheating due to:
•
High environment temperature
(> 45°C).
•
Motor overload.
•
Blockage of the pump/motor.
− Voltage too low.
− The suction pipe is leaking or
and

− Faulty earthing.

the existing pipe.

Remedies
Check the suction pipe.
Feed the pump with cold water.
Contact the pump supplier.
Check the voltage of the power
supply
Connect to the power mains.
Turn on a tap. Check that the height
between the highest point of the
delivery pipe and the pump is not
greater than 25 metres.
On the control panel, check the
regulation of the starting pressure
(1.5 ÷ 2.5 bar).
The pump resets automatically with
self-starts.
It is possible to reset the pump by
feeding it again, disconnecting the
voltage for a few seconds.
Repair the pipe.
Clean the valve, dismantling the
system.
Check the suction pipe.
Feed the pump with cold water.
Contact the pump supplier.
Check the power supply.
Check the suction pipe.
Connect the earth system according
to the local regulations.
Clean the valve or replace it with a
new one.
