CONNECTION

NOTE: Always check the Emergency Plug for damage before use.
Switch on the Emergency Plug and check the function of the Emergency Plug by pressing the
button at the top. When you press the button, you also start the self-test function. The LED
indicator cycles through the different colours and then flashes green. This indicates that the
Emergency Plug is ready for use. All colours are described in the section "LED display".
When the LED flashes green, the Emergency Plug is ready for use. This mode lasts about 2
minutes. After this time, the Emergency Plug must be switched on again. If you plug in the
plug within 2 minutes, it will go through the other colour displays.
Make sure you use the correct side of the plug when connecting the Emergency Plug. For
more information on the connection method, see the following illustrations.
~Insert the Emergency Plug straight into the vehicle's socket.
Wait 5 seconds to allow the plug to stop the vehicle from moving away.
Look at the LED display to check the correct operation of the Emergency Plug.
The LED indicator flashes blue for a moment and should then move to the next step.
When the LED indicator turns solid blue, the Emergency Plug is in contact with the vehicle
and the vehicle is prevented from driving away.
If the LED indicator continues to flash blue, contact with the vehicle is not fully established
and the vehicle may be damaged. In this case, check that the vehicle is no longer in driving
mode.
