MAINTENANCE

Regular maintenance is essential to keeping your stair lift in proper operating condition. As the owner of the
equipment it is important to schedule maintenance on a regular basis. To give your equipment the highest
level of care, we recommend using only authorized AmeriGlide dealers and technicians to perform all required
maintenance, service and repair work.
To assure proper operating condition of your stair lift, the following checks and /or services should be
performed every six (6) months:
❒ Tighten all fastening anchors
❒ Verify proper operation of the footrest obstruction sensor
❒ Lightly oil swivel seat mechanism with an all-purpose household oil
❒ Lubricate the gear rack on the track with the lubricant provided with the lift
❒ Clean any dirt build up on track where the wheels roll

TROUBLESHOOTING

Before calling for service, take time to check this Owner's Manual for information that will help you avoid
unnecessary service calls. As well, before calling your authorized AmeriGlide dealer, go through the following
three-point check. If your lift will not operate:
1. Check for obstructions in the path of the lift.
2. Ensure that the swivel seat is in the locked, riding position.
3. Ensure that the lift's power cord is plugged into the 115 VAC outlet, or check for a blown fuse or tripped
circuit breaker at the main circuit box.
If your lift will still not operate, contact your local authorized AmeriGlide dealer for immediate service. If your lift
needs servicing, use only original replacement parts and hardware to maintain quality and performance.
