The Comcast Wireless Gateway 2 is a dual-band device and offers both 2.4 GHz and
5 GHz WiFi networks. While 5 GHz offers higher speeds than 2.4 GHz, not all WiFi
devices will support the newer 5 GHz technology.
To learn more about your Wireless Gateway, refer to your User Guide in the
XFINITY folder.

CONNECT
Connect the Ethernet cable from the
Ethernet connection on your computer to
the Ethernet connection on your Wireless
Desktop
Gateway.
In order to successfully activate your service
—Or—
via a computer, your computer must be
powered on and connected to the Wireless
Gateway via the Ethernet cable.

For wireless activation, refer to the Wireless
Gateway Activation and Connection Guide in
your XFINITY folder.
Connect a telephone cord (not included) from
your telephone into the Tel 1 connection on
your Wireless Gateway.

Connect a coax cable from your cable wall
outlet to the Cable/RF In connection on your
Wireless Gateway. Make sure this connection
is finger tight.
You may only need one coax cable for your
Wireless Gateway connection, so select the
Cable Wall

length that suits your needs.
Plug the power cord into your Wireless
Gateway, then into an electrical outlet. If your
Wireless Gateway has a Power button, turn
it on.

After activation, use the Network Name
(SSID) and Password on the bottom or side
panel of the device to connect your wireless
network.
Refer to your XFINITY folder for alternate
connection information.

stop blinking and remain completely lit for
1 minute. This may take up to 20 minutes.
Once the light is solid, open up your Web
