following the Armonized Standards of the ATEX Directive.

Notes/Restrictions
• POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 is a single use self rescue respirator. After use and/or after expiry date it must be disposed of or sent to D.P.I. s.r.l. or
to a D.P.I. s.r.l. authorized centre for reconditioning. It cannot be used anymore without undergoing reconditioning.
• In oxygen enriched atmosphere or in potentially explosive atmospheres use the ATEX version of the device.
• POLIBITZ ABEK 15 can only be used if the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere is at least 17% in volume.
• POLIBITZ ABEK 15 does not protect against carbon monoxide (CO).
• POLIBITZ ABEK 15 gives a lower level of protection against low-boiling organic vapours than against high-boiling organic vapours.
• The protection against high concentrations of toxic substances is limited. The protection within the limits indicated in the above table is
assured for 15 minutes. If the risk analysis identifies more dangerous conditions, the protection offered by POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 is
insufficient. In that case the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus is needed.
• The actual protection duration as indicated in the above table refers to given concentrations of toxic substances and to a medium
respiratory strain. The risk analysis must also verify if the protection duration is compatible with the time needed by the user to reach a
safe area where breathable air is available.
• Users, who are not trained to use respiratory protective devices or in particular emotional states, may feel a higher respiratory
resistance which is not an anomaly in itself.
• The device must be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from heat and corrosive substance. The storage conditions are the following:
temperature from + 2°C to + 55°C, humidity <80%.
• The expiry date (XX-YYYY, month and year) is printed on the protective packaging seal.
• The presence of beard, sideburns or long hair, deep scars or other face unevenness can affect the leak tightness and therefore, the
device efficiency.
• The device has to be fitted to the face according to the instructions for use.

Instructions for use
• Ensure first that the POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 case is sealed and not damaged and that the expiry date has not passed. If the seal has been
tampered or the expiry date exceeded do not use the device.
• Pull the respirator out of its case after removing the protective adhesive tape from the container.
• Place the half-mask on the face with one hand and pass the harness over the neck by using the other hand.
• With both hands, hook the harness behind the neck and pull, if necessary the free straps of the harness to improve the adjustment of
the mask on the face and therefore its leak tightness.
• Breathe a few times and leave straight away the polluted area, but without running.
Important note: the donning procedure and instructions for use have been summarized on the back of the case with illustrated pictures.
Important note: donning the POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 "Ex" must be made in the proven absence of explosive atmosphere.

For the respirator POLIBLITZ ABEK 15 "Ex" it is required that users of such devices, at any stage of the
operation, wear antistatic clothing and footwear and use non-sparkling tools.
