SWITCH
The on/off switch (G) is fitted with a safety button (H)
so that it is not possible to start the saw by accident.
To start the saw press the safety button (H) then
depress switch (G) and hold. The saw will stop when
switch (G) is released (Fig.3).
SETTING CUTTING DEPTH
For a clean perfect cut, it is recommended to adjust
the cutting depth according to the wood thickness by
having the saw blade protrude through the material.
In order to adjust the cutting depth, loosen the wing
nut (J) and move the machine upwards or downwards
(Fig.4), to the desired position and tighten the wing
nut (J).
SETTING CUTTING ANGLE
It is possible to cut vertically and with an inclination
of up to 45º. Angle is set by loosening wing nut (K),
tilt the base using the scale as a guide and retighten
wing nut (K) (Fig.5).
RIVING KNIFE
The riving knife (L) avoids the saw blade from
binding/seizing during cutting operations and it must
always be used for safety purposes. The machine is
supplied with the riving knife adjusted.
When mounting a new saw blade, the riving knife
must be adjusted:
Raise the mobile guard (A) and loosen screw (M).
Move the riving knife so the arc of the knife is 2-3mm
(5mm max.) from the saw blade tips (Q) and is 2-3mm
(5mm max.) higher than the base of the blade (R).
Tighten screw (M) (Fig.6).
PARALLEL CUTTING GUIDE
For parallel cuts, use cutting guide (N). Cutting width
is adjusted by loosening knob (P) sliding guide to
required position indicated by the scale on the guide.
Tighten wing nut (P) (Fig.7).
CUTTING INDICATOR
Item 13 (Fig.1) is used as a cutting indicator with the
blade in horizontal position.
NOTE:
It is advisable to perform test cuts after
any adjustment.
