10.1 Changing the filter cartridge

The device has the following integrated care
programmes:
• Rinse device, see Chapter 6 "Rinsing"
• Clean device, see Chapter 7 "Cleaning"
• Changing the filter cartridge
• Decalcification
You can order filter cartridges for the device
from Carogusto.
In their sealed protective foil, the filter cartridg-
es have a storage life of two years.
The filter should be replaced after approx. 120
litres at a water hardness of 17 CH. Before the
filter has to be replaced, a "counter" will appear
on the display. This counter is designed to
remind you that another filter cartridge should
be immediately available as a replacement
because the device will not operate unless it
has a filter cartridge. Once the counter has run
out, no more preparations can be made until a
new filter cartridge has been inserted.
Once the counter has run out, the display
shows the "Change filter cartridge" symbol,
and the device will not allow any more prepa-
rations.
To change the filter cartridge, remove the
➔
water tank from the device and empty out
the water.
Turn the filter cartridge anticlockwise and
➔
remove it from the water tank.
Clean the water tank thoroughly with an
➔
appropriate cleaning agent before carefully
inserting a new filter.
Remove the protective cover from the new
➔
filter cartridge.
Place the filter cartridge in the water tank.
➔
Turn the filter cartridge clockwise until you
➔
hear it click into place.
