Safety information
Your wireless transceiver contains low power transmitter. When the transmitter is activated it sends out radio frequency (RF)
signals. This device is authorized to operate at a duty factor not exceed 50%.Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized
antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage the transmitter and violate FCC regulations
7. STORAGE
Do not store the hearing protector at temperatures exceeding +55°C, for example on a dashboard or windowsill. Do not
store the hearing protector at temperatures below –55°C.
NOTE: WHEN DAMP. Turn the shells outwards. Remove the ear cushions (E) so that the attenuation cushions can dry.
Remove the batteries when storing the hearing protector for a long time. Check the functioning of the unit after replacing
the batteries. The recommended maximum shelf life is 5 years from date of manufacturing.
8. MAINTENANCE / CLEANING / DISPOSAL
After prolonged use, or other situations in which the headset attracts moisture inside the cups, remove the cushions and
inserts to allow the hearing protector to dry before its next use.
The headset (especially the ear cushions) can eventually wear out. Inspect regularly for signs of any physical damage and
replace if necessary. This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be
sought from 3M.
Ear-muffs, and in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and
leakage, for example.
Clean/disinfect the shells, headband and ear cushions regularly with soap and warm water.
Notice! Do not immerse in water or fluids.
This product is covered by the WEEE directive 2002/96/EC and is recyclable. Dispose of the product in accordance with
national regulation. Use a local recycling system for electronic products.
8:1 CLEANING
Clean/disinfect the shells, headband and ear cushions regularly with soap and warm water.
Note: Do not immerse in water or fluids.
8:2 REMOVING/REPLACING EAR CUSHIONS
(E) Slide your fingers under the edge of the ear cushion and pull straight out.
Insert a new ear cushion by pressing until it snaps into place.
9. SPARE PARTS/ACCESSORIES
HY79 Hygiene kit
Easily replaceable hygiene kit consisting of two attenuation cushions, two foam rings and snap-in ear cushions. Replace at
least twice a year to ensure consistent attenuation, hygiene and comfort!
HY100A Clean – single-use protectors
A single-use protector that is easy to apply to the ear cushions. Package contains 100 pairs. The fitting of hygiene covers to
the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs.
HYM1000 Mike Protector
Moisture and wind-proof with hygienic tape. Protects the speech microphone and enhances its life span.
Package of 5 meters for about 50 replacements. Contains natural latex, not recommended for use by sensitive persons.
M40/1 Wind shield for MT7-type speech microphones
Effective protection from wind noise. Enhances the life span and protects the speech microphone.
