Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
Only use new batteries of the correct size and type.
Batteries must only be replaced under the supervision of an adult.
Make sure to insert the batteries with the correct polarity.
Remove the batteries when the product is not in use.
Used batteries must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Batteries must not be burned or exposed to heat.
Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Never short-circuit batteries.
In daylight, the solar panel on the solar cell lamp converts sunlight into electricity and charges the
batteries. When it becomes dark the lamp goes on automatically and is powered by the batteries.
Position, weather conditions and season all affect the length of time that the batteries can power the
lamp. Solar cell lamps are ideal for night lighting in gardens. They can also be charged outdoors during
the day and used for indoor lighting.
Position
Place the product so that it is exposed to full sunlight at least 6 hours per day. If the solar cell lamp
is placed in the shade the batteries will not be fully charged, which will produce a shorter lighting
time.
Do not place solar cell lamps near sources of light such as street lamps, as this may prevent them
from lighting up.
Before first use
The lamp is controlled automatically by the light sensor when the switch is in the ON position. When it
becomes dark the lamp goes on automatically and is powered by the batteries. You can press the switch
again to turn off the lamp and save energy.
Carry out the following checks if the lamp does not go on automatically after being charged for at least 6
hours during the day.
Check that the power switch is in the ON position.
Check that the battery is in contact with the terminals and has the correct polarity.
Check that the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight.
Keep the solar panel clean. Dusty or dirty surfaces will impair functionality.
Battery replacement
Replace the battery if the product stops working. Open the battery cover and replace the battery with a
new one of the same type (rechargeable NiMH, AAA, 1.2 V, 200 mAh).
