Console Port
The console port is used when you forget the Switch's IP address.
1.
Connect one end of the RS232 Cable came with the product package to the COM port on your PC,
and the other end to the Console port on the Switch.
2.
From your computer, run HyperTerminal program. Assign a name and set baud rate at 19200
bps.
3.
Power off the Switch and then turn it on. The connection will be established automatically.
4.
You can find the IP address of the Switch from the screen.
Notice: The RS232 cable came with the Switch is a crossover cable. If you would like to use the regular
RS232 cable, please switch pin 2/3, pin 4/6 and pin 7/8.
