6. Change Password: With Auto Discovery, the extension password is blank, the administrator can
modify the password for logging in the Blaze Management Website.
7. Off-Hook Access to: Blaze provides extensions different Off-Hook selections that enable users
directly off-hook access to extension, CO line, operator, or hotline. Please select a direct access item for
your extension from the "Off-Hook Access to" list.
8. Class of Service: Assign one Class of Service to restrict extensions to make unnecessary calls. With
Auto Discovery, the settings in Class of Service will be applied to the extension automatically.
9. Button Mapping Group: Select a "Button Mapping Group" which supports programmable keys on IP
phone as feature access buttons to enable speed dialing, call park, to access CO lines or others features.
10. CODEC: Select a preferred Codec from PCM(G.711), G.723.1 and G.729.
11. Jitter Buffer Depth: Depending on your bandwidth and CODEC, start with a Jitter Buffer with the
minimum value. Jitter Buffer will dynamically adjust its value according to the party you are talking
to and the bandwidth of the call but never below the value you have set. The higher value of Jitter
Buffer will reduce the chance of packet loss during a call but might cause delays and the lower value
will help to transmit the voice packets faster but might cause packet loss problems.
12. Silence Suppression: This function reduces network traffic whenever silence is detected during a
conversation for a specific amount of time. Select the check box to enable this function or uncheck to
disable it.
13. Conference Disabled: Conference allows the extension making an outgoing call to initiate a
conference between three or more parties. Select the check box if the user does not need this function.
14. Paging Disabled: You may select the check box when this function is not needed.
15. Enabled: For maintenance purpose, you may need to temporarily disable some extensions. Click the
check box to enable the extension or uncheck to disable it.
16. Apply Settings: After finalizing the settings in this extension, if you want them to be identical as this
one, you may apply the settings to other extensions present in the system, saving you the hassles of
configuring each extension individually.
Setting the Analog Phone on Blaze
1. Go to Main Menu>Extension Management>Analog Port List.
2. From "Analog port List", select the SLT port you want to edit and click the "Modify" button.
3. The "Gateway Name", Gateway Port Number" and "MAC Address" have already been entered when
administrators configured the analog gateway.
4. Extension No.: You can input the extension number of the SLT port in this field.
