E. AP Mode Installation Guide
In order to build a wireless networking environment, switch the WAP-5883 to
(AP) mode and connect it to your wired router or switch.
Setup via WPS button:
(1) Insert the WAP-5883 into a power outlet on the wall and switch to 'AP'
mode.
(2) Use an Ethernet cable to connect the extender to the Ethernet port of your
router or networking switch.
Note: In AP mode, when you try to make a connection with a wireless client
using WPS, push the WPS button twice on this device within 5 seconds and
the 'WPS' LED will start flashing.

Switch to 'AP' mode.
Plug the WAP-5883 into a
power outlet on the wall, and
flip the power switch to 'ON' (1).
You should see the 'Power'
LED light up in a few seconds
(2). If not, check if the power
outlet you're using is working.
Use your computer's wireless
configuration utility to search
for the access point named
'comtrend' to get connected.
