2.4 Battery
If the battery is too low, the detector will automatically be power off. After battery is fully charged, the
continuous working time of battery is about 2.5 hours and the standby time is more than 12 hours.
Sleep (Power Saving) Mode
The detector will enter sleep mode after idling for 5 minutes in order to save power. The machine can
be waken up and return to working mode by touching any key or feeding a banknote.
If the detector is in sleep mode only with built-in battery supplying power , the detector will be power
off automatically after 15 minutes' sleep. This can't be changed.
2.5 Software Update
This machine can be updated very easily by using a special micro SD card. This card can be obtained
via your supplier. To get the correct software from supplier, the serial number of the detector is needed.
Insert the micro SD card to the micro-SD card slot at the rear side of the detector. Now press and hold
Arrow Down key and ON/OFF keys simultaneously, The software will be written to the machine
automatically. After updating, the detector will beep 2 times and be power off automatically.
Updating by USB port is also possible. In both cases, contact your supplier for more information.
Attention: you must connect the power supply before updating and we recommend removing the
(optional) battery temporarily during this process.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
Important Notices
If the machine keeps alarm or works abnormally, check the following:
Whether the main power supply is within specified range (AC 100V~240V/50~60Hz).
Whether the DC output is within specified range: DC 12V±10%.
Whether the supply plug is well connected.
Whether the built-in battery is sufficient to work.
Keep away from strong magnetism affection.
Clear the dust on the sensors.
If a banknote is blocked while it is being detected, please open the top cover and take out the
banknote to detect it again.
Please smooth the banknote before detecting, and the banknote must be placed in the feeder without
slant.
3.1 Maintenance instructions
This unit is a precise currency detector that needs periodic maintenance.
1. Operate this unit in the designated ambient environment only;
2. Store this unit in a ventilated place and keep away from any strong magnetic field or light;
3. Use a special cleaning kit to regularly (at least once a month) clean sensors and rubber belts;
4. Protect the sensor surface from damage, do not touch the surface with sharp or hard objects;
5. Do not attempt to disassemble the detector.
