Caution! The maximum charging current is mostly specified on the battery itself for
NiCD and NiMH batteries and should not be exceeded as far as possible.
For Li-ion batteries you should choose a charging current of 0.5C, or expressed dif-
ferently, the capacity should be divided by 2 (e.g.: 2600mAh divided by 2 = 1300mAh
corresponds to the nearest lower charging current of 1000mA that can be set).
In case you want to charge completely discharged batteries, the charging process
might be more effective if you charge with a lower charging current.
7. Cleaning and care
Disconnect the device from the mains and make sure that it is not carrying any
current. Wipe it using a dry and soft cloth. Please do not use aggressive cleaning
agents.
8. Additional information about this device
• Batteries are not toys. Always keep them out of reach of children.
• Do not leave the batteries lying around. There is a risk of them being swallowed
by children or pets. Consult a doctor immediately in such cases!
• Batteries should never be short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into fire. There
is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Leaking or damaged batteries may cause burns if they come into contact with
the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves in such cases.
• Commonly available non-rechargeable batteries should not to be charged.
There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Non-rechargeable batteries are intended for single use only and have to be
disposed of properly once they are discharged.
• Batteries should not become damp or wet.
• Never leave charging/discharging batteries unattended.
• Pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting the batteries into the charg-
er (plus / + and minus /-).
• Do not charge/discharge batteries that are still hot (caused e.g. by high charging
/ discharging current). Allow the battery to cool down to room temperature
before charging or discharging it.
• Never charge/discharge damaged, leaking or deformed batteries. This may
result in a fire or an explosion! Dispose of such unusable batteries in an
eco-friendly manner. Do not reuse them.
• Recharge standard batteries once in 3 months and the so-called low-discharge
