Datavideo DAC-100 Pour commencer
In the Playback Settings, is an Audio section. Make sure the box that says
"Play Audio on the output device only" is un-checked. This allows you to hear the audio
through the computer speakers when editing on your timeline. The sample rate should
match the quality of your video source.
-If the source plugged into the DAC is analog, using a yellow, red, and white RCA
composite, choose 32000
-If the source plugged into the DAC is digital, using a fire wire, choose 48000
hit OK to return to the General Settings screen

Under the general settings, the settings should be as follows:
Editing mode: QuickTime
Quicktime is Adobe Premiere's default editing mode
All of the options listed under Time base and Time Display are compatible with the DAC
Timebase: 29.97
Time Display: this is how time will be displayed throughout your project. The
following will help you choose the appropriate setting:
For Broadcast or NTSC video: 30 fps drop-frame timecode
*This feature should be used if you will be using the timecode from your
original footage
For web or CD ROM: 30 fps Non drop-frame timecode
For PAL or SECAM video: 25 fps timecode
For motion picture Film: Feet + Frames at 16mm or 35mm
