2. Fitment to roof tray base using supplied L brackets.
The orientation of the brackets is with the longer arm of the L bracket affixed to the
roof tray.
The shorter arm of the L bracket is attached to the side awning.
The part of the L bracket attached to the awning can either be pointed upward or
downward; however it can only be downward if there is sufficient clearance for the
doors of the vehicle to open. Be aware in making this decision the awning will extend
beyond the "L" and a further allowance of 100mm below the L bracket is required.
Having made the decision on the orientation of the "L" brackets, it is now time to
attach the L brackets to the roof tray.
Attachment of the L bracket by T bolts is
recommended [Fig. 2], however in some cases it
will be necessary to drill holes and use the M6
bolts supplied.
The final position of the side awning should
be parallel with the direction of the vehicle
when travelling.
Insert the heads of 4 of the M6 bolts into the bolt
head channel in the aluminium moulding. [Fig. 3]
With the assistance of a second person, raise
the side awning to the height of the affixed L
brackets, position the M6 bolts to align with the
holes in the L bracket.
Insert the M6 bolts into the holes in the L
bracket and attach the M6 Nyloc nuts.
