Step 2
If the CG marks are more than 10 cm rearward of
the rear axle, loosen the hardware securing the
rack extender arms to the rack and pivot the rack
forward the required distance.
Step 3
Retighten all rack hardware securely.
WARNING! Verify that the position of the seat and
!
rack does not interfere with braking or pedaling.
SEATBACK ADJUSTMENT
WARNING! The seat must be in the upright position
!
for children over 30 pounds. Added weight increases the
chance of bicycle control problems with the seat lifted back.
!
CAUTION! Adjust the seat before seating the child.
Step 1
Lift the overhead pull-down bar to its open position
by pulling the tabs slightly outward. Illustration H.
Step 2
Open the seatback adjustment cams and move the
seatback into one of the
four available positions.
Step 3
Make sure seat remains
properly aligned.
Step 4
Once the seatback
location has been
selected, lock the cam
levers by pushing them
down. The cam levers
should lock tightly
enough so that you
CANNOT move the
seatback. If there is any
movement in the
seatback, rotate the
cam levers clockwise,
one complete turn at a
time, until the seatback
is securely locked.

Note:
The cam levers have been designed to allow for
easy and secure adjustment of the seatback.
Once set up, the cam lever system should require
only minor periodic adjustment.
WARNING! Failure to lock cam levers before placing

CHILD SEAT USE

CHILD PLACEMENT/SEATING YOUR CHILD

WARNING! Placing more than 40 pounds total weight in
!
seat can seriously affect the safe operation of your bicycle
and endanger your childʼs safety.
Requirements For Use:
1. Child must be old enough to sit upright without assistance.
Consult your pediatrician before carrying any child.
2. Two people are required to safely place child in seat.
3. Child must wear a certi ed, proper tting bicycle helmet.
Precautions:
1. Do not attempt to seat your child with the pull-down bar
(Limo) or grab bar (Taxi) in the down or locked position.
2. Do not use the pull-down or grab bar to lift or carry the
seat with your child in the seat.
3. Do not use the pull-down or grab bar as the only means
of restraint.
To Seat child:
1. For Limo, lift the overhead pull-down bar to its open position.
For Taxi, swing the grab bar to its open position.
2. With one person holding the bicycle steady, place child
in seat.
3. Adjust harness to childʼs height. If the childʼs shoulders are
at or below the lower holes, move the harness to the lower
holes. Push the plastic washers that hold the ends of the
harness out through the holes in the seatback and then
reinsert them in the two lower holes.
