Operation

Area of use

The X.Quattro Superveloce Olive Harvesting
Machine is suitable for all varieties of olive trees.

Preparation

Place the olive collecting nets covering the area under
the olive tree. Place the 12VDC car battery near the
operating area.

Starting Operation

Before connecting the olive harvesting machine to
the power source, make sure that the on-off switch
is in the OFF (O) position and the speed control knob
(Fig.1 - E) is turn fully anti-clockwise.
Align the slot at the bottom of the tube with the slot
of the brace (Fig.2 - Step1).
Insert the motor's coupling unit inside the coupler in
the tube. Until there is no gap between the tube and
the motor. (Fig.2 - Step2).
Lower the tube clamp and tighten the butterfly screw
firmly (Fig.2 - Step3).
Connect the alligator clips of the power cable to the
12VDC car battery.
Black cord connects to the negative terminal (-).
Red cord connects to the positive terminal (+).
To start the operation hold the olive harvesting
machine with both hands and push the on-off switch
to the ON (l) position.
You can adjust the speed of the machine, by turning
the speed control knob (Fig.1 - E) clockwise. Set at
the desired speed.
Olive harvesting techniques
After starting the operation, lead the head of the
olive harvesting machine to the branches of the olive
tree, where the olive seeds are.
The head vibrates and the olive seeds drop onto the
nets. Repeat until all olive seeds of the tree have
been dropped on the nets.
Maintenance
General
Before doing any cleaning or maintenance, make
sure that the power source is disconnected.
Always use original replacement parts. Never use
replacement parts that might be same visually, but
without the required specifications.
Storage and transportation
The olive harvesting machine should be thoroughly
cleaned and stored in good condition.
Store/transport the olive harvesting machine in a dry
and safe place away from humidity and sun rays.
Apply spray grease externally to the ball bearings of
the head
(Fig.8
) before storage.
Some parts of the olive harvesting machine are
subject to normal wear even when used properly
and must be replaced in due time depending on
type and duration of use. These parts are not covered
by the warranty.
These parts are:
- Elastic semispheres and carbon sticks
- Power cable
- Fuse
- Electronic module
The following parts can be easily replaced by the user.
For any further maintenance and repair work please
contact your supplier.
Before doing any maintenance, move the On-Off switch
to the OFF (O) position. and disconnect from the power
source.

Cleaning your olive harvesting machine

Clean parts using a damp cloth and dry them
thoroughly. Do not use any aggressive cleaning
agents - this may damage some plastics.

Replacing the elastic semispheres

To replace the elastic semispheres, using a No.11
wrench, unscrew the nuts at the ends of the shafts on
the head (Fig.3 + Fig.4). Replace the elastic
semispheres and tighten the nut.
Tip: To unscrew more easily you can hold the resistance
on the other semisphere with your hand or the other
side's self locking nut with a pliers or 11mm wrench.

Replacing the carbon sticks

To replace the elastic sticks, hold the semisphere firmly
on a workbench. With a pliers pull out the worn out or
broken carbon stick (Fig.5). Insert a new one in the
same cavity by pushing the spherical end side into the
cavity until it snap-locks in place (Fig.6).

Replacing the power cord

Power cord must be in excellent condition at all
times. You can visually examine it for any defects.
To replace the power cord, unscrew the 2 torx screws
using a T20 bit at the back side of the motor
Slide back the terminals of the power cord and discard
it. Insert the new power cord to the cable cover
with strain relief and attach the cable's terminals on
the rocker switch terminals. Tighten the 2 screws firmly.

Replacing the fuse

In case of a short circuit, the electrical system is
protected by a melting fuse, located inside the fuse
holder near the end of the power cord.
After locating and repairing the short circuit, open
the fuse holder
(Fig.1 - I)
with a new 30A melting fuse.

Lubrication

Lubricate the X.Quattro mechanism
externally (Fig. 8)
every 10 hours of operation using
grease spray.
Lubricate the internal guide rollers every of
operation using NGLI-2
(Fig.7).
and pull out the fuse, replace
and ball bearings
grease.
