Setting the hour and minute
Crown A
Turn the compression key to the "open" position in the direc-
tion of the arrow. Then pull crown A out to position 3.
The movement will be locked and the operating indicator
will stop.
Move the hands forward clockwise to the desired time. Once
the operation is complete, push the crown back into posi-
tion 1. The watch will start running again. Then turn the com-
pression key to the "closed" position in the direction of the
arrows.

Operating indicator

The seconds hand completes one revolution in 60 seconds.
This also shows you that the watch is running.
Setting the date
Crown A
Turn the compression key to the "open" position in the direc-
tion of the arrow. Then pull crown A out to position 2.
This timepiece features a date display window at 3 o'clock
and a rapid correction system. If you have to move the date
one day forward, turn crown A (in position 2) anti-clockwise.
Repeat the operation until the desired date is displayed. For
months of less than 31 days, follow the same procedure to
move on to the 1
of the month.
st
Once the operation is complete, push crown A back into
position 1 and turn the compression key to the "closed" posi-
tion in the direction of the arrows.
NB: date correction should not be performed between
10.30 p.m. and 3.30 a.m. During this period the automatic
date-change mechanism is already in action.
Setting the second time-zone
Crown A
Turn the compression key to the "open" position in the direc-
tion of the arrow. Then pull crown A out to position 2.
Turn crown A (in position 2) clockwise. The second time-
zone hour hand will make one-hour jumps. This mechanism
actuates the day/night indicator at 12 o'clock. Move the hand
forward to the desired time, taking into account the day/night
indicator.
Once the operation is complete, push the crown back into
position 1. The watch will start running again. Then turn the
compression key to the "closed" position in the direction of
the arrows.

Chronograph operation

The central seconds hand on the Master Compressor Diving
Chronograph GMT Navy SEALs watch displays the chrono-
graph seconds with an eighth-of-a-second definition. A coun-
ter located at 3 o'clock tallies the minutes up to 30 minutes
(after 1 revolution it will start counting another 30 minutes).
Another counter at 9 o'clock tallies the hours up to 12 hours
(after one revolution it will start counting another 12 hours).
- Push-piece at 2 o'clock: this push-piece starts and stops the
chronograph function.
- Push-piece at 4 o'clock: this push-piece resets the counters
and the central seconds hand. When timing is in progress,
pressing this push-piece has no effect.
Each of these 2 push-pieces features a wing-nut with patented
compression system. This enables additional compression of
one of the 3 push-piece gaskets, to ensure optimum water-
resistance. Another benefit of this system: it enables the push-
pieces to be locked in the closed position, thereby preventing
any unintentional operation of the chronograph.
To enable use of the chronograph functions, move the push-
pieces into the "open" position by turning the wing-nuts a
quarter-turn downward. The non-compressed gasket position
("open") will be indicated by an arrow (front view of watch).
Timing
Timing
- The chronograph is activated by pressing the push-piece at
2 o'clock once. The central seconds hand will turn, and the
minute and hour timing counters will run. Pressing the push-
piece at 2 o'clock again will stop the chronograph, enabling
the timing measurement to be read.
- Reset by pressing the push-piece at 4 o'clock to make
another timing measurement.
- It is possible to add together several timing measurements
by pressing the push-piece at 2 o'clock again (without reset-
ting the counters).
Timing is re-started, and is added to the previous measure-
ment. Once the timing operation is complete, move the
push-pieces to the compressed gasket ("closed") position by
turning the wing-nuts a quarter-turn upward, in the direction
shown by the single arrow.
