Installation guide
Then the supplied bracket/wall plate is attached to the flush-mounted box with
screws. Put on the frame and lead the connection cable with 4-pin socket from
the power supply unit through the frame. Then insert the socket at the back of
the OPUS 55 SENS into the plug (see Fig. 5). Put on the OPUS 55 SENS and
snap it in (see also section 2.1 Battery operation).

DISASSEMBLY:
Press a tool, e.g. a commercially available screwdriver or a nail (not included in the
scope of delivery) into the slot, for unlocking on the front of the OPUS 55 SENS and
pull the device out of the frame (see Fig. 3). Disconnect the plug from the socket. Re-
move the frame and remove it by loosening the screws on the wall plate.
CAUTION
– DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Connection, installation and commissioning of OPUS 55 SENS including
power supply may only be carried out by an authorized electrician. Before
installation, disconnect the system from the power supply!
2.3 Special notes
After removing the battery or disconnecting the power supply, OPUS 55 SENS
continues to operate for up to 20 minutes due to its internal energy storage and
does not perform a restart. This must be observed if the commissioning of a
current sensor is to be repeated.
If OPUS 55 SENS is mounted in combination with switches, sockets or similar
in a multiple frame in a vertical row, the sensor must always be mounted in the
lowest position. This applies in particular to joint mounting with dimmers, since
their own heating leads to falsified measurement results.
3. Mounting location
An installation opposite the heat source on an interior wall is preferable. Ideal moun-
ting height: approx. 1.5 m above ground.
OPUS 55 SENS should not be placed inside shelf walls, behind curtains, etc.
Exterior walls and drafts from windows/doors should be avoided. It should be
ensured that the normal ambient air reaches the sensor unhindered.

IMPAIRMENT:
The precision of the OPUS 55 SENS is impaired by covering the free air circulation
and in case of direct influence of heat sources. These include direct sunlight and the
proximity of electrical appliances, radiators, heating pipes and fireplaces.
4. Supported profiles
OPUS 55 SENS sends its information using the EnOcean profile listed below. This
must be able to be taught-in at the remote terminal either manually or via OPUS
ConfigTool.
EEP
Description EnOcean Equipment Profile (EEP)
Sensor for temperature, humidity, leakage, unidirectional,
D2-14-54
measuring range temp.: from 0 to +50 °C (0.1 °C)
measuring range humidity: from 0 to 100 % rH (0.5 % rH)
OPUS 55 SENS signals general operating information cyclically by means of the
EnOcean SIGNAL messages listed below. These can be processed by the OPUS
ConfigTool as well as by a suitable gateway or another remote terminal.

must be disposed of properly and under no circumstances should it be
disposed of with household or residual waste. The professional and
legally compliant disposal of old devices is generally the responsibility
of the buyer.
5.2 CE conformity
