LED TROFFER RETROFIT KIT 2X2' & 2X4' INSTALLATION GUIDE – WARNING
WARNING – Read all product labels and instructions before installing LED Troffer Retrofit Kit.
WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. The electrical rating of these products is 120-277VAC, the installer must determine whether they have 120-277V at the luminaire before
installation.
WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Luminaire wiring and electrical parts may be damaged when drilling for installation of LED Troffer Retrofit Kit. Check for enclosed wiring
and components.
WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. LED Troffer Retrofit Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical systems. Installation should be performed only by a qualified
electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and relevant local code.
WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions larger than the following: For 2X2' luminaire
housings, 24.01''x23.94''x3.07'' (610x608x78mm). For 2X4' luminaire housings, 48.03''x23.94''x3.07'' (1220x608x78mm).
WARNING – Only those open holes indicated in the photographs and/or drawings may be made or altered as a result of kit installation. Do not leave any other open holes in an
enclosure of wiring electrical components.
WARNING – Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.
WARNING – To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
WARNING – INSTALLATION SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED AFTER POWER TO THE FIXTURE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED.

Disconnect power at the source before installation, inspection or removal.
•
Do not use if product is damaged.
•
Do not alter, relocate, or remove wiring, lampholders, power supply, or any other electrical component.
•
Do not install in a damaged fixture.
•
Do not use abrasive materials, glass cleaners or other solvents on cover plate or lens. Use of these substances may damage fixture. To clean the faceplate, use a mild soap
solution.
•
Install this kit only in luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit
does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
•
This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards
involved.
•
Affix "Modification Sticker" inside original luminaire to alert end user the luminaire will no longer operate the originally intended lamps.
•
Suitable for damp or dry locations only.
1.
Make sure the POWER IS TURNED OFF at the source to the location at which you are installing the product.
2.
Remove existing lamps, door frame (if applicable), reflector and ballast cover. Depending on clearance space, ballast may need to be removed.
3.
Gently lift the original luminaire housing and slide in both side mounting brackets between the housing and the T-grid. Lower the housing to rest on the brackets, securing
them in place. (fig. 1, fig. 2 & fig. 3)

Hang the retrofit kit body by hooking the T-hinges into the respective slots on one of the mounting brackets. (fig. 4 & fig. 5)

Attach the safety cables to the original luminaire housing using the self-tapping hex head screws and washers provided. (fig. 6)

Connect the retrofit kit power to the AC power. If a compatible LED quick connect system is present, simply connect the power supply to the retrofit kit. If a compatible LED
quick connector is not present, insert the black wire (line) from the power supply into the port of the provided LED quick connector marked with a black circle. Insert the
white wire (neutral) into the unmarked port. Connect the power supply to the retrofit kit. (fig. 7)
7.
Wire the existing fixture's green wire (ground) to the retrofit kit's green wire. If a ground wire is missing from the power supply, attach the retrofit kit's ground wire directly
to the luminaire housing.
8.
For 0-10V dimming circuits, connect the incoming grey and purple wires to the retrofit kit's grey and purple wires using wire nuts. (fig. 7)
9.
Visibly affix "Modification Sticker" inside original luminaire.
10.
Close the retrofit kit by pushing it up and securing both latches. (fig. 8)
11.
Return power back to the source and installation is complete. (fig. 9)
