NB – Once you have taken the action necessary to resolve any of the below
has to be RESET by switching the ON/OFF button first into OFF and then into ON position before you can commence with the start-up process.

Explanation
The fuel tank is almost or completely empty.
The pop-up lid of the fuel inlet has been opened or has been
left open.
Liquid has been detected inside the safety-chamber situated in
the bottom of the housing of the e-Ribbon Fire.
Liquid has been detected inside the over-spill safety-chamber
surrounding the fuel inlet.
The built-in tilt-sensor has been activated because the fire is
not situated perfectly in level or has been tilted to a higher
than the allowed, pre-set degree (e.g. due to seismic activity).
The built-in temperature sensor has detected a temperature
which is too high inside the housing of the e-Ribbon Fire.
The built-in temperature sensor has detected a temperature
which is too high on the flame tray.
The built-in temperature sensor has detected a temperature
which is too low on the flame tray, although the fire has been
operating for 15-20 minutes already.
The CO
sensor has detected an undesired concentration of

in the room air.

Action to be taken
Do not switch off the electronics and fill the fuel tank as described above.
Push down onto the lid in order to close it until you hear a click sound.
Call your point of sale or Decoflame on +45 96 30 48 00 (only English-
speaking staff available) and have the serial number to hand (can be found
on the reverse side of the lid of the fuel inlet).
Dry off any spilled bioethanol thoroughly with paper towels. Leave the pop-up
lid open for at least one hour in order to allow any remaining humidity to
evaporate completely. Then close the pop-up lid of the fuel inlet.
Correct the positioning of the fire in such a way that it is perfectly in level
within its intended setting. Use a spirit level. Fix the fire securely.
Make sure that the ventilation slots around the flame tray are not obstructed
(do not place ceramic logs or pebbles there). Also, check that the fireplace
has been installed with the necessary 5mm gap all the way around and
below the base plate (models Montreal and Orlando). If you find that all is at
it should be, call your point of sale or Decoflame on +45 96 30 48 00 (only
English-speaking staff available) and have the serial number to hand (can be
found on the reverse side of the lid of the fuel inlet).
Make sure that the ventilation slots around the flame tray are not obstructed

You should improve the quality of the room air by opening a window or
keeping doors to adjacent rooms open. Then RESET the electronics and
restart your fire.
