OSD
joystick
The OSD joystick is used to open the OSD menu, to navigate through the menus, and to select
parameters to customize camera for the installation.
To open the OSD, the camera submenus, and select a menu option, press the joystick "in" (toward
the mounting base). To navigate the menus, rock the joystick up (UP (p), see photo above) or
down (q) to move through the parameter list menus vertically, rock the joystick left (t) or
right (u) to change the parameter value that appears for the parameter. Press the joystick "in" (in
toward the base assembly to "select") to select the parameter shown or open the submenu.

Open the OSD menus by pressing the joystick toward the mounting base. The OSD menu table is
shown below. Examples included after the menu table demonstrate how to perform common tasks.

Using the OSD - example: Adjust the image quality
Use the example included here as a model for configuring other OSD options. NOTE: For clarity, screen
captures used here show only the OSD menus. A live video image normally appears the background.
The default camera settings produce optimal image quality for most applications. However, some
environments may have conditions the camera can be adjusted to compensate for. Also, it can be
configured to reflect or mirror the image to provide a more realistic view. Use the following steps to make
whatever adjustments are needed to improve the video image. Perform the following during "normal"
lighting conditions in the field of view.
1.
Remove the camera dome cover assembly to access the OSD joystick.
2.
Press the joystick in toward the mounting base to open the OSD menu. The main menu option
highlighted in yellow indicates the current selection.
