The Touch board, located in the upper part, detects user instructions. These instructions are displayed by
the Visual board, located under the Touch board, in order to give a feedback of the setting selected to the
user. It also allows displaying any possible bad functioning of the hob, for example, the faults
Cooling fan
The fan function consists in cooling the heat sinks of the power board while the appliance is working. It is
located on one heat sink end and it is controlled by the power board software. The fan power supply is 12
Volt, the speed depends on the temperature on the heat-sink.
Cooling fan operation:
Fan operation according to the power:
if the service power of the hotplates is over 1900 Watt: the fan runs at 60%
if the large inductor is in Booster mode: the fan runs at 100%
Fan operation according to the temperature:
if heat sink temperature is > 40°C : the fan runs at 40%
if heat sink temperature is > 45°C : the fan runs at 60%
if heat sink temperature is > 50°C : the fan runs at 80%
if heat sink temperature is > 55°C : the fan runs at 100%
Fan speed when the inductor is off:
If the temperature is < 45°C :
If the temperature is > 45°C :
Inductors
The function of the inductor is to create the conditions to warm/cook food.
It is the operative element of the hob. It produces a magnetic fl ow which creates Foucault currents to the
pan placed upon it; these currents warm the pan.
It is composed of a coil, which is made of copper, and covered with insulating material (in this platform, the
inductors are not fi tted with more coils).
The inductors can be small, large, fi tted with booster, with auxiliary zone or special zone (for example: fi sh-
kettle plate).
Sensor
Inductor NTC: it is located in the central part of the inductor, it allows to:
1. check the temperature of the inductor; if it is high, it signals this condition to limit the
operative power (power adjustment at a temperature over 220°C, it stops the appliance
operation if the temperature is 240°C).
2. signal the Residual Heat.
Heat sink NTC:
it is located on the power board, it "reads" the heat sink temperatures to prevent the
heating of components which may endanger the correct operation of the power board,
and consequently, of the appliance.
The board will limit the operative power if the temperature exceeds 75 °C and stop the
appliance operation if the temperature reaches 95 °C.
Service Manual
Induction hob manual
the fan is turned off (OFF)
the fan runs 10 minutes at 60%, then 5 minutes at 40%
(effi cacy without noise).
