What to do if ...
Malfunction
Loud compressor noises.
Unusual noises.
The compressor does not
start immediately after
pressing the FROSTMATIC
button, or after changing
the temperature setting.
Only temperatures above
0 °C can be set, although
the appliance should be
used as a freezing unit.
Only temperatures below
0 °C can be set, although
the appliance should be
used as a cooling unit.

Possible cause
Increased refrigerating
capacity due to start-up,
switching on FROSTMATIC
function, open door, or
storage of fresh foods.
Appliance is not level.
Appliance is in contact
with wall or other objects.
This is normal, no error has
occurred.
The appliance is in the
operation mode "Cooling".
The appliance is in the
operation mode "Freezing".
Remedy
The noise levels will
decrease automatically
when normal operation is
resumed and the refriger-
ating capacity is reduced.
Readjust the front levelling
feet.
Push appliance away a
short distance.
The compressor starts after
a period of time.
Selecting the operation
