Battery Location and Enabling

Not all applications of the Ethernet Gate-

way Board will require battery-backed

memory. For applications that require it,

the Ethernet Gateway Board must be

equipped with a battery.

The battery socket is located on the back

side of the Ethernet Gateway Board. Use

a 3V lithium battery size CR2032. With

the positive (+) side of the battery facing

toward you, press the battery into the socket until it snaps into place.

To enable the battery, locate the BAT_ENABLE jumper located near the top right corner of the

front side of the board. Set this jumper to the UP position to enable the battery.

If the Ethernet Gateway Board is being stored or will not be used right away, it is recommended

you keep the BAT_ENABLE jumper in the DOWN (disabled) position to keep the battery from

being drained.
