Attaching Cables and Turning the System On

To attach the power and I/O cables and turn the system on, perform these steps:

Connect the I/O cables to their connectors on the back of the system.

Connect the power cable to the back of the system.

Plug the other end of the power cable into an AC receptacle of the proper current

rating.

Turn on the system and all attached peripherals.

Ensure that the power-on self-test (POST) successfully completes and that the

operating system boots.
