Installing the Linux operating system

Install the Linux operating system according to the customer needs. Users can purchase the corresponding license from the

support team.

The following prerequisites must be met in order to install the Linux operating system on the server:

● A PC is available with a web browser and Java installed.

● 25 GB minimum disk storage is available from the server.

NOTE:

If the server is equipped with a hardware RAID and/or a fibre channel controller, storage has to be visible from

the controller's BIOS.

● 4 GB minimum RAM is available on the server.

Installing the VMware ESXi operating system

The VMware ESXi operating system is already installed on the server.

Boot the operating system from the Remote System Console by selecting the corresponding boot option from the Boot

Manager menu.
