This installation guide provides instructions for trained service technicians installing
one or more Dell PowerEdge computer systems in a Dell rack. One rack kit is required
for each PowerEdge system to be installed in the rack.

Rack Kit Contents

The rack kit includes the following items (see Figure 1):

One pair of Dell RapidRails™ slide assemblies
•
One cable-management arm assembly
•
One cable tray
•
A 7-Unit (U) (1 U=1.75 inches) rack template for a four-post Dell rack
•
One pair of rack adapters
•
Six 10-32 shoulder screws
•
Four 10-32 x 0.25-inch pan-head Phillips screws
•
Five 6-32 x 0.25-inch hex-head Phillips screws
