4 Onboard Administrator installation configuration
parameters
The Onboard Administrator installation configuration parameters are for c-Class server blades only. Identify
the HP BladeSystem c-Class Enclosure Onboard Administrator IP address by using the Insight Display on the
front of the enclosure.
The Enclosure Settings screen displays the Onboard Administrator IP address, enclosure, and rack name.
The Enclosure Info screen displays which Onboard Administrator is active.
To perform the installation, use the active Onboard Administrator IP address to log in to the Onboard
Administrator. For more information, see the HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator User Guide.
A unique default administrator password for each Onboard Administrator is printed on a label on top of
each Onboard Administrator module. Before you begin the HP Insight software installation, record the
information for all new c-Class enclosures.
To speed the installation, you can complete the Onboard Administrator installation steps at the same time
on linked c-Class enclosures in the same rack.
If the Onboard Administrator password has been changed and does not match the password on the product
label, you must recover the password.

IP addresses and password configuration parameters

Record the Onboard Administrator IP addresses and password configuration parameters in the following
table.

You cannot set a password for a standby Onboard Administrator. The password is the same as the active Onboard Administrator.

Rack and enclosure configuration parameters

Record a common name, date, and time setting for your rack in the following table. You can also provide
unique names and asset tags for each enclosure.
