Importing music data from the computer

You can import WMA/MP3/AAC (MPEG4) data stored on your

PC to this unit's HDD via network (in-house LAN).

WMA with the variable bit rate cannot be imported.

For AAC (MPEG4), only tracks that are not protected by

AAC (MPEG4) ﬁ les are imported as LPCM. However, ﬁ les

with the rates of 64 kbps, 96 kbps and 128 kbps may be

imported as AAC.

●

Importing AAC (MPEG4) ﬁ les require more time than

importing WMA/MP3 ﬁ les.

●

Even after importing music data from the computer, the

music data on the computer will not be erased.

●

When tags are used for music data on the computer, the

artist name, album name and track name are used for the

title. If tag information is not present, the file name of each

track becomes the track name.

Preparation

1. Connect this unit and computer to the network

or connect this unit directly to the computer

2. Press [q/h HDD]

1-1. Set the shared folder

1-2. Move or copy the folder containing WMA/MP3/AAC

(MPEG4) to the shared folder.

Move or copy the folder containing WMA/MP3/AAC

(MPEG4) to the shared document folder.

LSF

2-1. Press [SETUP] while stopped.

2-2. Select "Import from PC" on the "Network" tab and

conﬁ rm.

Select "PC Name" to conﬁ rm.

Enter the PC name to conﬁ rm.

• Enter the PC name conﬁ rmed on page 20. (English

character, number and symbol up to 15 characters. Not

case-sensitive.)

Repeat steps 3 to 4 to enter other items.

User Name: User account's user name registered for Windows

Password:

Folder:

Select "Import" to conﬁ rm.

Add the check mark for the folder to import and

conﬁ rm.

Select "Yes" to conﬁ rm.

If you use NAS (Network Attached Storage), enter the user name

and password set on NAS in step 5.

●

The import status and remaining time are displayed once per

several seconds. The first several seconds and the last several

seconds are not displayed correctly.

When playing back WMA/MP3/AAC (MPEG4) tracks imported to

the HDD, the sound may be interrupted between tracks.

The track analysis

WMA/MP3/AAC (MPEG4) tracks imported to the HDD when the

unit is in standby mode.

If large data such as JPEG is present, sound may not come out or

playback may not be possible.
