aXIs Q7424-R Video encoder

Full-featured video surveillance for tough environments.

AXIS Q7424-R Video Encoder is a rugged one-to-four-channel standalone solution that enables

flexible migration of analog cameras into an IP-based video surveillance system in challenging

conditions. The video encoder is ideal for demanding applications such as traffic monitoring, city

surveillance and airports.

AXIS Q7424-R is designed specifically to withstand

tough environments including vibrations, shocks and

extreme temperatures. The video encoder, operates in

temperatures from -40 °C to +75 °C (-40 °F to +167 °F).

The video encoder offers H.264 and Motion JPEG

streams at full frame rate in all resolutions up to D1

(720x480 NTSC or 720x 576 PAL). H.264 greatly opti-

mizes bandwidth and storage use without compromis-

ing image quality, while Motion JPEG is supported for

increased flexibility.

AXIS Q7424-R offers powerful event management ca-

pabilities with intelligent video features such as tam-

pering alarm, motion detection and audio detection, in

addition to AXIS Camera Application Platform applica-

tions.

AXIS Q7424-R features an SFP slot for fiber connection

which gives the installers flexibility to connect the vid-

eo encoders cost-effectively to the network over long

distances. In addition, AXIS Q7424-R has support for

Power over Ethernet, which simplifies installation since

only one cable is required for power.

All four video channels provide pan, tilt and zoom sup-

port, enabling control of analog PTZ and PTZ dome

cameras. The video encoder also includes a built-in SD/

SDHC memory card slot for edge storage.
