Introduction

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

During observation and acquisition, the cover is
kept closed to avoid the risk on the user. However,
when placing or replacement, the cover should be
opened so care is required in these operations.

Observation Methods

Fluorescence
observation
This method utilizes the
f l u o r e s c e n c e g e n e ra t e d
w h e n t h e s p e c i m e n i s
irradiated with strong light
to observe the specimen
structure or identify the
substance according to the
presence/absence and color
tone of the fl uorescence.

Phase contrast

observation
T h i s m e t h o d m a k e s i t
possible to observe non-
stained specimen (living
s p e c i m e n ) o r n e a r l y
transparent specimen by
e n h a n c i n g t h e c o n t ra s t
between brightness and
darkness.
Caution against
high temperature
This section accommodates
the light source bulb and may
become hot.
Caution against
fi nger being caught
Do not approach your hand or
fi nger to the motorized stage
and motorized revolving
nosepiece.
Caution against
direct view
This section outputs bright
light during fl uorescence
observation. Be careful not to
stare it directly.

Bright Field

observation
This is the most general
method for use in obser-
vation of stained specimens
and contrasted specimens.
