Confirm that the microscope body moves freely and remains stationary at the
target point when not in motion.
When you move the microscope body, be careful not to get
your hand or fingers caught between the moving portions of
the arm.
1.
Confirm that no excessive force is applied to the device cables and the light
guide when the microscope body is moved.
2.
Hold the grip and confirm that the microscope body moves freely in the
required ranges. Also confirm that the microscope body remains stationary
when the grip is released.
If the microscope body moves vertically under its own weight, adjust the balance
as described in Section 4.2, "Arm balance adjustment".
If the microscope body moves horizontally and/or tilts under its own weight,
adjust the rotation tension as described in Section 4.3, "Adjusting the rotation
tension of rotating parts".
If the movement tension and/or the tilt tension of the microscope body is too
high, adjust the rotation tension as described in Section 4.3.
1.
Look through the eyepieces. Confirm that the light source illuminates the
entire field.
2.
Ensure that all objects in the field are clearly visible.
•
If the left and right images are focused differently, adjust the diopter of
the eyepieces as described in Section 4.6, "Diopter adjustment".
•
If the images are out of focus when the magnification is changed, adjust
the diopter of the eyepieces as described in Section 4.6, "Diopter
adjustment".
