10. Troubleshooting
lf there seems to be a problem with the unit, please check the following points iirst. lf the problem
persists, contact your Accuphase dealer or an authorized service station.

be sure to turn the power
o ls the power cord plugged in correctly?
o Are source components and power amplifier turned on?
o Are the preamplifier and the loudspeakers connected correctly?
o ls the input selector button set to the correct position?
o Are all components and the loudspeakers connected correctly?
o Are switches and selectors at the preamplifier and other source components set cor-
rectly (especially the balance control)?
o Try reversing the left and right speaker cables.

No sound in the other channel
: P-7100 or source component may be defective.
o Try reversing the left and right input cables.
Still no sound in the same channel : P-7100 mav be defective.
N o s o u n d i n t h e o t h e r c h a n n e l
Cables or preamplifier may be defective
. In some cases, when the internal protection circuitry has been trlggered, the output will
be shut off and the meter llluminatlon flashes as a warning indication.

o Check whether speaker polarity ( + , - ) is not reversed in one channel.
o For stereo playback, verify that the mode selector on the rear panel is set to NORMAL.
