Caution ： When date changes during daytime.
The hour hand makes two rounds for one day (24 hours). So if date
changes during daytime, AM/PM is wrongly set. Advance the hour
hand for twelve hours and redo the time setting once again.
Time period that is not good for date setting
Do not change the date when the hands show the time between 9:00 AM
and 1:00 PM, as it may cause damage to the watch.
When date adjustment is required at the end of the month
It is necessary to adjust the date at the end of the month following a
month that has less than 31 days.
Models  ⑥ （8J86）feature  both  a  time  zone  adjustment  function  and
date display function. Date can be set by either advancing or putting
back the hour hand independently of the other hands.
･Pull out the crown to the first click.
･Turn the crown to set the date.
･Push the crown back in to its
normal position.

The watch is so designed that the date changes once by turning the hour
hand for 24 hours. Be sure that AM/PM is properly set.

and ④ on page 43.

Time zone adjustment function for models ⑤ （4J85） and ⑥ （8J86）
Time zone adjustment function enables to adjust the hour hand only in one-hour increments
by  easy  operation  without  stopping  the  minute  and  second  hands.  It  is  convenient  when
adjusting the time based on a different time zone while you travel abroad. 
Pull out the crown to the first click where the hour hand can be set independently of
the other hands. Turn the crown clockwise to advance the hour hand, while turning
the crown couterclockwise to put back the hour hand.
Models ⑤ （4J85）feature a time zone adjustment function but they do
not have a date display function. For time setting for models ⑤, refer
to  Time setting for models ③ and ④ on page 43.
