Integration
The integration of APF with SIMATIC BATCH is configured using the "Einstellungen –
Allgemein" / "Settings - General" dialog of the APF engineering tool:
The release of APF integration using SIMATIC BATCH occurs through the option box "Use
SIMATIC BATCH" / "SIMATIC BATCH will be used".
This option box can only be activated if a SIMATIC BATCHprocess cell (installation) is
configured in a PCS 7 project.
The name of the process cell (plant) in the Plant Hierarchy (PH) is specified with the PCS 7
project configuration where it is automatically determined. If you change the name of the
process cell in the PCS 7 project, you must update the APF Engineering settings in the
"Settings - General" dialog.
Run the APF Integrator once you have applied the settings.
Note
Ensure that the BATCH server is started when you operate APF with BATCH. Otherwise, for
example, the APF Material Editor may be affected due to lack of communication partners.
