A backlight illuminates the LCD screen on the IP Conference Station 7936. This backlight is turned
on whenever a key is pressed. The backlight is turned off when the IP Conference Station 7936 is not
used or when a call exceeds one minute. If a second call is received when a call is in progress and the
backlight is turned off, the light will be turned back on.
The IP Conference Station 7936 includes three context-sensitive keys, a menu access and exit key, and
scroll and select keys. The following functions are accessible via these keys:
• Call interface
• Configuration interface
• Additional call functions (functions that are not accessible through the softkeys)
• Phone book access (a local phone book is available to store up to 20 numbers)
User Options
The following user options are available by using the LCD menu.
LCD Menu Item
Call Functions—Access these features as follows:
1. Press the Menu button.

Press the Up or Down scroll button to select
Call Functions.
3.
Press the Select button.
Phone Book—Access the phone book by
following the procedure above and selecting
Phone Book, or press the Ph Book softkey from
the phone's resting display menu.
Settings—Access the user-modifiable settings by
following the procedure above and selecting
Settings.

Description
Call Functions provides access to calling features
that are not available from the softkeys, such as
Meet-me, Park, Pick-up, Group Pick-up,
Transfer, Remove Last Participant and Join.
Access to the phone book enables you to enter
new phone book entries and to place calls from
phone book entries that you have made. The
phone book holds up to 20 entries.
The user-modifiable settings include LCD
contrast, ringer, time format, and date format.
