SYMPTOM
1. The background of copies becomes dirty.
2. The used toner tank fills up before 'FULL' is indicated.
CAUSE
As developer deteriorates, Q/M gradually drops. This causes excess toner supply to the
development unit and the toner density becomes too high.
SOLUTION
The software has been changed to prevent overtoning by changing the toner supply ratio.
In the new software, the TS Level (Toner Supply Ratio) has been changed as follows:

The suffix of the ROM has been changed as follows:
A251 model
A252 model
A163 model
Though the A163 model has already been discontinued, the modified software has
been released to apply the above countermeasure to machines in the field. The new
suffix is B.
