modules or interface cards, refer to the documents that accompany those items or to the online Cisco 1800 series
hardware installation documentation at the following URL:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_mod/1800/hw/index.htm
You can set any Cisco 1800 series router on a desktop or mount it on the wall. See the applicable instructions in the following
sections:
• Wall-Mounting the Router, page 10
• Installing the Router on a Desktop, page 12
Caution
To prevent damage to the chassis, never attempt to lift or tilt the chassis by the plastic panel on the front. Always
hold the chassis by the metal body.
Wall-Mounting the Router
Warning
This unit is intended to be mounted on a wall. Please read the wall mounting instructions carefully before
beginning installation. Failure to use the correct hardware or to follow the correct procedures could result in a
hazardous situation to people and damage to the system. Statement 248
The Cisco 1841 router can be wall-mounted by using two No. 6, 3/4-inch screws and the mounting features on the bottom of
the router. We recommend using pan-head or round-head screws (not included).
