Using a memory card (sold
separately)
By inserting a memory card into the camera, the following
functions can be set/used.
• Shooting movies
• Shooting still images*
• Firmware update function
* These images can also be saved in the host device.
Number of still images that can be saved
Still image size
When [Aspect Ratio] is set to [3:2]
L: 20M 5456 × 3632 pixels
M: 10M 3872 × 2576 pixels
S: 5.0M 2736 × 1824 pixels
When [Aspect Ratio] is set to [16:9]
L: 17M 5456 × 3064 pixels
M: 8.4M 3872 × 2176 pixels
S: 4.2M 2736 × 1536 pixels
This is the number of images that can be saved in one
memory card in the camera.
The number of still images that can be saved may vary
depending on the shooting conditions and the memory
card.
If [Still image size] is [3:2 20M] and [Image quality] is
[RAW+JPEG]
2 GB: Approx. 65 images
4 GB: Approx. 125 images
8 GB: Approx. 260 images
16 GB: Approx. 520 images
32 GB: Approx. 1050 images
64 GB: Approx. 2100 images
If [Still image size] is [3:2 20M] and [Image quality] is
[FINE]
2 GB: Approx. 240 images
4 GB: Approx. 485 images
8 GB: Approx. 980 images
16 GB: Approx. 1950 images
32 GB: Approx. 3900 images
64 GB: Approx. 7800 images
Recordable time of movies
This shows the approximate maximum recording times
that can be saved in one memory card. These are the total
times for all movie files.
The recordable time may vary depending on the shooting
conditions and the memory card.
2 GB: Approx. 15 minutes
4 GB: Approx. 30 minutes
8 GB: Approx. 1 hour
16 GB: Approx. 2 hours 5 minutes
32 GB: Approx. 4 hours 10 minutes
64 GB: Approx. 8 hours 25 minutes
Continuous shooting time is possible for approximately
29 minutes (the product specification limit) for one shot.
When the recording system is set to PS, continuous
shooting time is possible for approximately 15 minutes
(limited by the 4 GB file size restriction).
Usage time and number of images that can
be recorded with the battery
The following numbers are the usage time and number of
images that can be recorded with the supplied charged
battery without supplying power via the USB terminal.
Shooting still images: Approx. 440 images
Typical movie shooting: Approx. 95 minutes
Continuous movie recording: Approx. 150 minutes
(When the powered zoom lens SELP1650: E16-50mm is
used)
Notes
• The number of images is an approximate number when
shooting with the supplied charged battery without
supplying power via the USB terminal. The number may
be less depending on the circumstances.
• The number of images is when shooting under the
following conditions.
– Using a Sony microSD memory card (sold separately)
– Temperature of 25 °C
• The number of still images that can be recorded is based
on the CIPA standard, and is for shooting under the
following conditions. (CIPA: Camera & Imaging
Products Association)
– Shooting once every 30 seconds
– The zoom is switched alternately between the W and T
ends every time.
– The power turns on and off once every ten times.
• The maximum movie time that can be recorded is based
on the CIPA standard, and is for recording under the
following conditions.
– Recording settings: HQ
– Typical movie shooting: shooting, zooming, shooting
standby, and repeatedly turning the power on/off.
– Continuous movie recording: if continuous recording
reaches the limit (29 minutes), recording will be
restarted. Other operations, such as zooming, are not
performed.
• It may differ depending on the usage environment or the
host device used.
