Dynamic talkaround scan is enabled on a repeater channel through the Customer Programming
Software (CPS). The feature gives the radio the ability to scan the transmit and receive frequencies of
a repeater channel.
NOTE: This is an enhancement feature on CLP radios and may not be available on previous
shipping radios. The feature is given higher priority than the scan mode. If the dynamic
talkaround scan and scan are enabled on the home channel, then the radio can only support
the dynamic talkaround scan.

Sending Call Tones

Procedure:
1 To navigate to Call Tone, press the Menu button.
2 To transmit a selected call tone, press either + or –.
NOTE:
Four call tones are available.
This feature is enabled through Customer Programming Software (CPS).

Muting the Radio

The mute function allows you to lower the headset volume,
Procedure:
1 To lower or mute the volume, press and hold either + or – button.
You hear a "Mute" voice prompt from the radio.
2 To unmute the volume, press any button.
NOTE: This is an enhancement feature on CLP radios and may not be available on
previous shipping radios. The enhanced CLP radios does not support the volume scroll.
You hear an "Unmute" voice prompt from the radio.

Talk Permit Tone

In mixed fleet situations (CLP1010 or CLP1040 and CLP1060), Bluetooth users may miss some words
due to the unavailability of the Bluetooth connection. Talk Permit Tone allocates some time so that the
link between the radio and headset gets reestablished thus minimizing the lost words.
NOTE:
By default the Talk Permit Tone is disabled on Customer Programming Software (CPS) on the
Bluetooth models.
This feature is an enhancement feature on CLP Radios and may not be available on previous
shipping radios.
