Mechanical Features
3.1.1
Compact Weight and Form Factor
The dimensions and weight of the new P Series radios are:

Their compact design means that the new P Series radios are comfortable to use and unobtrusive to
carry. This is a signiÞcant beneÞt for workers who use and carry their radios all day, every day.
Every P Series radio comes with a convenient belt clip as standard.

Option Boards
You can further enhance the functionality of the new P Series radios by installing a third party option
board.
The P Series radios provide interfaces to support a range of different types of option board. The
most important option board interfaces are:
Simple Selcall :
The Simple Selcall interface serves as a basic interface to the radio, it provides the following
capabilities to an option board designer:

Per channel Enable/Disable (through CPS Option board enable)
2.
Hardware Auto PTT (key-up) capability
3.
Unmuted Receiver Audio Path, and Transmitter Audio Path Access
4.
"SelCall Response" via Option Board Decode interrupt
