SPECIAL FEATURES
Several special features enable the e-STUDIO232/282 to better adapt to changes
in the office environment and respond quickly to current and future business
needs. Furthermore, we have placed a great emphasis on making it easy to expand
functionality according to needs, including the ability to add extra security features
when sharing information.
SECURITY
As today's workplace has become more integrated into various networks, demands
for flexible and simple solutions have increased, and likewise has the need for higher
security options. The e-STUDIO232/282 come with an array of solid standard security
solutions that can be easily expanded.
Hard Drive Data Security
In a multi-user environment information security is essential, and several solutions
are available to extend the level of security of the e-STUDIO232/282. As standard,
Toshiba's proprietary compression technology offers high data security and makes
it almost impossible to extract information even if the hard drive was removed.
Adding the optional Scrambler Board offers an even tighter level of security for
businesses dealing with sensitive information. All data on the hard drive is encrypted
with a 128-bit security, ensuring that all information is stored safely within the
e-STUDIO232/282. An extra layer of security can also be achieved by adding the
optional Data Overwrite Kit, which erases data generated during printing, copying,
scanning and faxing process using the DoD standard methods, providing high levels
of security for sensitive information.
