VENTILATION
Any tent must be properly ventilated in all weather conditions to allow sufficient airflow into and out of the tent. Please familiarize yourself with all vents and openings in your tent
to ensure you can maintain adequate ventilation. There are three main reasons we promote ventilation within a tent, as in the same way we would in any dwelling like a house or
apartment. These are Airflow, Air quality, and Condensation Reduction.
• AIRFLOW: Without airflow or fresh air into the tent, your environment will become stale and stuffy. It is important to promote good
quality airflow throughout the tent.
• AIR QUALITY: A buildup of any harmful gasses (carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and others) is possible in an enclosed space. For
this reason, you must always have adequate ventilation in your tent to ensure a good flow of air from outside.
• CONDENSATION REDUCTION: Leaving the vents open, supplemented by partially opening windows and doors at night to provide
cross ventilation is a good way to reduce condensation.
Given the importance of proper ventilation, for airflow, air quality and condensation reduction, we use high and low venting in most of our tents. This allows cooler air in through
the low vents and warmer, moist air up and out through the high vents. Opening both the high and low vents is important as this allows for this cross ventilation. If your tent has
vents in the porch / vestibule, then it is important to also keep those vents open. Failure to vent your tent properly, may result in serious injury, permanent disability,
or death to you or to others.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
Make sure you know the fire precaution arrangements on the site.
Consider the possibility of falling rocks or tree limbs, lightning, flash floods, avalanches, strong winds, and other potential hazards.
Make sure you anchor your tent at all times.
Please be mindful of guylines, bathtub floors, straps, and other parts of tents as they can be a potential trip hazard.
We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our information. We do, however, have a policy of continuous improvement and we
therefore reserve the right to change or amend designs and specifications without prior notice. Please refer to www.cruaoutdoors.com/

SET-UP
IMPORTANT: WE ADVISE YOU TO ASSEMBLE THE TENT ONCE BEFORE GOING CAMPING TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE ASSEMBLY OF THE TENT.
Take out and organize all the contents from the carry bags. Set-up of your tent may take longer in windy conditions due to the extra caution needed.
A.Erecting the Tent
NOTE: The Crua Culla/Culla Max/Culla Family are inner tents. They are not
waterproof, so they should always be placed inside another tent or properly covered
from the elements when using.
A1. Unroll the tent inside the outer tent making sure the door is in the same
direction as the outer tent door.
IMPORTANT
A1
A2. Starting from one end of the tent unscrew the top cap of the inflation valve and
attach the pump nozzle.
A3. Inflate each pole until it is quite firm (7 PSI if your pump has a gauge).
A4. Once all the air poles have sprung outwards, assuming their correct shape,
detach the pump from the tent and tighten the outer valve cap on each inflation
point, it is important that these are tight to prevent seepage of air.
A5. (Culla Maxx/Family tent only) Assemble all 3 poles provided. These poles
are slotted into tabs half way up the tent body on inside of tent to spread the tent
taught. The longest pole is used on the back wall and the two shorter poles are
added to both sides.
B.Ventilation
B1. There are two vents located at the top of the Culla/Culla Maxx/Culla Family.
Unhook the dog-bone toggle and roll up the flaps and secure them away.
B2. There are three vents located at the bottom of the Culla/Culla Maxx/Culla
Family. All 3 vents have a zip or toggle to allow you to close the vents based on
your airflow needs.
NOTE: When using the Culla/Culla Maxx inside a Duo/Duo Maxx, ensure at least 2
upper and 2 lower vents on both the Duo and the Culla must be open at all times to
ensure proper airflow.
NOTE: When using the Culla/Culla Maxx/Culla Family in another brand's tent, then
all vents on the Culla/Culla Maxx/Culla Family as well as the other brand's outer
tent should be open at all times. Doors and windows of the Culla or the outer tent
can also be used for additional ventilation/airflow if needed.
NOTE: When using the Culla/Culla Maxx/Culla Family inside another tent, make
sure that the outer tent is big enough to accept the Culla and that there is plenty of
clearance between the outer tent and the inner tent. Insufficient clearance will limit
airflow and increase condensation.
TAKE DOWN
A. Take Down
A1. Partially close all doors and openings.
A2. Open the valves on each pole. The tent will start to deflate. Wait until most of
the air has expelled.
A3. Fold both sides to meet in the middle and then fold one more time together and
roll. Use the compression straps to keep the tent in a tight rolled shape and allow it
to easily fit in the bag.
B. Rolling up
Always roll towards the door of the tent. This will help the air trapped in the tent or
the air beams to be pushed out while it's being rolled up.
Leave valves open while not in use.
