The door open sensor on the front of the CD tuner has two
operating modes, as well as an off setting.

By default, when you press
the disc compartment, you'll hear a beep. If you would prefer
not to, here's how to switch it off:

Depending on the component that you connect to the
auxiliary inputs, it's possible that the signal level will be too
high for this system to play properly without the sound
distorting. If you notice distortion when listening to the
auxiliary component, try switching the attenuator on.

reduced to prevent distortion.
You can adjust the brightness of the display to suit the
lighting conditions of the room. For example, in a brightly lit
room you'd probably want the display brighter than in a room
with low lighting.

There are five levels of brightness (UK model default is 4; non-
UK model default is 5).
The system goes back into standby.
• When switched on, the blue light on the disc compartment
door and on the front of the tape deck changes (3 levels)
with the display brightness.
